THE GODDESS FANTASY
The largest, cleanest, most experienced, safest whale watching boat in Monterey
WHALE WATCHING MONTEREY
With the Sea Goddess, you can see whales year round.
The Monterey Bay is California’s best location for viewing humpback whales, killer whales a.k.a. orcas, gray whales, blue whales, great white sharks and the abundance of marine species including dolphins, jellyfish and mola mola, which call the Pacific Ocean home.
Sea Goddess Whale Watching promises you a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Our whale watching tours depart from Moss Landing, at the mouth of the Monterey Bay Canyon, one of the largest underwater canyons in the world! The canyon is a nutrient-rich zone that attracts all types of marine life, making Moss Landing the best place for whale watching tours in the entire state of California, and Monterey Bay including San Francisco.
In fact, the Monterey Bay is home to resident whales & dolphins and visited by so many migratory whales that we’re able to offer guaranteed whale sightings year-round. Plan your day!

Experience, Skill & Secret Spot Knowledge
Skilled professionals will be at your disposal throughout your whale watching journey.
Our Captains have some of the longest whale watch experience on the Monterey Bay and are skilled at knowing all the best spots for seeing migrating whales that come down from San Francisco on their way to Mexico. They will lead you to witness humpback whales, pods of orcas, and the blue whale, the largest and possibly most magnificent animal on the planet. Learn about whale behaviors such as the epic breaching, lunge feeding, pectoral slapping and tail slapping that is often on display from the acrobatic humpback whales from our marine biologist naturalists that have a passion for educating you.
WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY
We are the highest ranked whale watching team in all of Monterey.

The tour guide for our trip was Julette, she is very friendly, super knowledgeable and high energy. We learned a lot about the marine animals in Monterey Bay and the life of humpback whales. We were extremely lucky to spot almost 20 humpback whales in our 3 hour ride!!
Pro tip: If you are worry about sea sickness, definitely pick a tour with bigger boat because it will be a lot less rocky at sea. Also make sure you take non-drowsy motion sickness drugs like Dramamine 8 hours and 1 hour before boarding. This will help reducing the symptoms.

The whale sightings are fantastic. The crew is knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about marine life, providing informative commentary throughout the trip. On my tour, we saw humpback whales and dolphins, which was an amazing experience. The boat itself is comfortable, with both indoor and outdoor seating options that allow you to enjoy the views, no matter the weather.
However, there are a few downsides. For one, parking is not included, and the area around the dock can get crowded, especially during peak times. You may end up having to pay for parking in nearby lots or search for street parking, which can be a hassle.
Additionally, the price for the tour, while reasonable for whale watching, doesn't necessarily justify the overall experience, especially considering the parking situation. If you're paying for an excursion, the added stress of parking fees and the time spent searching for a spot might leave you feeling less than thrilled.
If you're an avid whale watcher or just love being out on the water, Sea Goddess Whale Watching offers a memorable experience. Just be aware of the extra parking costs and plan accordingly. While it's a great tour for nature lovers, the inconvenience of parking and additional costs make it less of a standout option compared to other local tours.
